When does my data plan start?
Your plan starts the moment you activate your eSIM by scanning the QR code on your smartphone.
Can I renew or extend the data on my eSIM?
Yes, you can do so by logging into your customer panel on the Holafly website. You will find the data plans you can purchase there. Once you’ve made your purchase, it will be activated immediately on the eSIM you have linked.
Can I send and receive SMS with my Holafly eSIM?
Unfortunately, Holafly’s eSIM for Spain does not include text messaging.
Can I share data with other devices?
No, the eSIM for Spain does not allow you to share data.
Which devices work with the eSIM card?

How do I set up the eSIM on my device?
Once you make your purchase, we will send you an email with precise instructions to install your eSIM in two ways; by scanning the QR code or by copying and pasting the manual installation codes.
To install with the first option, it is essential that the QR code is printed or on another device. Otherwise, you can follow the manual installation instructions for your Holafly eSIM.
If your device is iOS, you must enter Settings → Cellular → Add eSIM on your device and scan the QR code or paste the manual installation codes sent to your email. You must then follow the on-screen instructions to select your new eSIM for mobile data and calls.
If your device is Android, follow the instructions we will email you to install your Holafly eSIM.
Remember that your Holafly data plan should only be activated when you arrive at your destination. Once there, make sure to select your Holafly eSIM as your preferred option to make calls, then activate data roaming and also the Holafly calling plan.

When will I receive my Holafly eSIM?
As soon as you purchase, we will send your Holafly eSIM and calling number to your email. Say goodbye to waiting for a physical SIM card in the mail.
Once you receive it in the mail, you will have two installation options; scanning the QR code or copying and pasting the manual installation codes into your device. Once you land at your destination, make sure to select your Holafly eSIM as your preferred option for making calls and activate the “Data Roaming” option of your Holafly eSIM.
When should I set up my eSIM?
Set up your eSIM before your departure. Once you reach your destination, just activate the data plan and turn on data roaming. We recommend you print the QR code and take it with you on your vacation just in case. Remember that you need internet access to activate the eSIM. Set up is quick and you will be able to enjoy your data plan right away.
Can I keep my WhatsApp number?
You don’t need to do anything to keep your WhatsApp number. You’ll automatically keep your number, contacts and conversations.
How can I check how much data and minutes do I have left?
To check your remaining data balance, simply log in to our web app using the access details that we sent you via email when you made your purchase. You can also check your data balance in your device’s data settings.

How quick is the Holafly eSIM?
The Holafly eSIM offers maximum speed coverage (4GLTE5G). But bear in mind that in some areas of limited coverage there may be a lower speed connection.
How many times can I use my eSIM card?
Your eSIM can only be activated on one device. If you delete the eSIM from your device, you will not be able to reuse it. You cannot scan the QR code on two devices.
Do I have to activate data roaming and voice calls on my device?
Yes, to get the best coverage with your Holafly eSIM, you must activate data roaming in your device settings. Don’t worry; this will not generate additional charges from your operator if you have successfully configured your Holafly eSIM.
Also, make sure that your Holafly line is selected as your default voice line so that you can make calls without any problems. You can set this up in your phone’s voice or call settings.
How can I delete the Holafly eSIM once I’ve used my data?
You don’t need to delete the eSIM. But if you want to, please see how to delete eSIM on iOS and Android.
What do I do if I delete or lose my eSIM’s QR code?
If you cannot find the code, please contact our 24/7 customer support team at help@holafly.com or our online chat function. We will resend the code to your email.
Can I use my (physical) SIM card and Holafly eSIM at the same time?
Sure! You can keep your physical SIM card with your Holafly eSIM simultaneously on your device. Just make sure you choose your eSIM as your default voice line and preferred option for mobile data in your device settings.
Please note that if you leave your physical SIM card activated, you might get extra roaming fees from your network provider.
What happens if I use up my data, my minutes or my days of validity?
If you use up all the minutes before your eSIM expires, you can continue using the remaining data until its expiration date. However, please note that once the days of your eSIM plan have expired, the remaining (unused) data and minutes will be lost, and the eSIM will stop working.
To avoid interruptions in your service, we recommend that you keep track of your eSIM usage or extend its validity (top-up) before your current eSIM expires.
How do I get a refund?
The eSIM is a digital product. Holafly cannot check if you have used the data plan associated with the eSIM card. Therefore, once your eSIM is delivered, we cannot offer a refund. Please see our eSIM Refund Policy for more information.
What eSIM data plan should I choose for the Spain?
You can choose 5 days unlimited data, 7 days unlimited data, 10 days unlimited data, 15 days unlimited data, 20 days unlimited data, 30 days unlimited data, 60 days unlimited data and 90 days unlimited data. You can contact us at any time if you’re not sure which plan is best for you.
Which eSIM carrier will I connect to in the Spain?
The Spain eSIM uses Vodafone Spain/Orange Spain/Telefonica Spain/Yoigo, one of the best eSIM providers in each country.
Can my connection speed be reduced?
This eSIM includes unlimited data for the contracted time. However, please note that the operator may reserve the right to apply a Fair Usage Policy, as it applies to all other network users. In particular, if the operator estimates the usage of more than 90GB of data in a month, it may temporarily reduce the speed to between 256-1024KB to avoid affecting other users. This limitation is intended to prevent network saturation and will be removed within 24 hours. If you think the local operator has limited your speed, please get in touch with us by chat, and we will check if there is any incidence and how to restore your rate to the maximum speed allowed by the network.
How do calls work in Spain with Holafly’s eSIM?

Can I make international calls with the eSIM?
You will be able to receive calls from anywhere in the world, but only call to countries with coverage. Please make sure to check the technical specs.
How can I call within Spain and abroad using the Holafly eSIM?
As you will be assigned an Austrian number (+43) in the case of making or receiving calls locally within Austria, it is not necessary to dial the prefix. However, if you are calling from another of the countries allowed to make calls, you will need to dial the country code of the European country you are calling. You will be able to make calls only to countries with coverage. Please check our technical specs.
How can I receive calls within Spain from abroad using Holafly’s eSIM?
You can receive calls from any country. However, it’s important to note that when communicating with individuals outside the area of your assigned number (+43 Austria), it may be considered an international call, and charges may apply based on that person’s service provider.
How many minutes do I have to make and receive calls?
With your Holafly Spain eSIM, you have 60 minutes to make calls and 60 minutes to receive them. Remember that these are independent; in other words, you have a total of 120 minutes to enjoy during your trip.
